An overview of mexican energy policy: effects and disagreements

This paper provides an overview of wind energy projects in Mexico. It is based on the understanding that rise these responds to international policies and not exclusive country; However, his case presents important particularities because many farms are located indigenous territories where they have provoked socio-environmental conflicts driven by a feeling opposition resistance. Therefore, this work seeks answer following questions: how was policy configured allowed multiplication type those territories? Why do sometimes lack social approval? analysis categories acceptance environmental justice, as well reflections arising from empirical elements.
